Graphic Design 2: 6 Steps Project
Design Brief: Create a set of 6 illustrated INSTRUCTIONS TO TEACH SOMEONE A SKILL (using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign) Final Deliverables: • Brochure, high resolution, printed, cropped and folded. • Posted to Google drive: - pdf of original brochure file exported from InDesign with crop marks. PHASE 1: Choose a topic you are interested in: Describe each step with key words and brief sentences. PHASE 2: Design a system: • Develop design solutions that describe a range of objects & actions • Explore different graphic formulations for icon design • Icons will share the same set of characteristics • Format type, icons, and graphic elements EXPLORE 3 DIFFERENT types of visual styles on your first icon to find one final option. PHASE 3: • Combine your 6 icons, graphic elements, words to create an INSTRUCTION that describes the process that you chose. • ADD THE NECESSARY (minimum) TEXT to clarify your instruction. Build the sequence from 1-6 with a cover and back page with the final Adobe Illustrator elements imported to Adobe Indesign document: 5.5 x 17 inches, each page 5.5 x 4.25 inches PHASE 4: Complete InDesign layout to ensure it exports as a jpg for all steps together.
